Rebecca E. Benedict, D.M.D.
Dr. Rebecca E. Benedict is an experienced dentist who treats patients with empathy, integrity, and excellence in patient care. She has practiced dentistry in her Tampa Bay, Florida, office for over a decade. Dr. Benedict is a local to the Hyde Park community, where she lives with her husband and daughter in their 1920s home.
She offers patients treatments such as crowns, veneers, tooth-colored fillings, Invisalign, extractions, bone grafting, and dental implants. Dr. Benedict believes in providing her patients with the highest quality care possible, and she stays at the forefront of advances in treatment and technology through continuing education. She is an internationally published author on dental biomaterials.
A native Floridian, Dr. Benedict attended the University of Florida, where she obtained her BS in Microbiology and Cell Science. While at the University of Florida, she was named a University Scholar for her work in cancer research at Shands Hospital.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Dr. Benedict attended Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale to obtain her Doctorate in Dental Medicine. She has since furthered her education with additional training in implant surgery, cosmetic dentistry, CAD/CAM restorations, orthodontics, and anxiolysis.
Dr. Benedict is the Immediate Past President of the Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry (TBAGD). There she served as President from 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. She is also active in the American Dental Association (ADA), Florida Dental Association (FDA), West Coast District Dental Association (WCDDA), Hillsborough County Dental Association (HCDA), International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
Dr. Benedict believes in giving back to the community and has served in several leadership positions in The Junior League of Tampa.
